Dr. Liora Ravid

Dr. Liora Ravid is a Biblical historian who has spent her career uncovering the real lives behind the Bible's most famous stories. Born and raised in Israel, with a PhD from Bar-Ilan University, she brings a native understanding of the Hebrew text that most scholars cannot match.

Her work focuses on what the Bible doesn't say outright but reveals between the lines: the marriage contracts, inheritance disputes, power struggles, and daily survival that shaped the lives of Abraham, Sarah, Jacob, David, and the rest of the Biblical Hebrews. By unveiling ancient law, archaeology, and the rich wordplay of the original Hebrew, Ravid reconstructs a world that is more surprising, more human, and more dramatic than anything we were taught.
